Our webservers run under Unix System Services (USS), which is a fully-functional UNIX-compliant environment, running under OS/390. This allows our webservers to function similarly to other webservers residing on NT and UNIX platforms. The added benefit is that the webserver resides on the Enterprise Server, therefore, it has faster access to vital production system data. Combining the benefits of UNIX and the Enterprise Server, the OS/390 web server offers the following advantages:
